“Dwight” on SNL (the review)

Blogged about it, watched it, loved it. I was worried about a really bad parody of The Office, but this was really funny:

Dreamgirls

I have a 2-year old. I do not see movies until they are out on DVD… or available via On-Demand… or on TNT in-between episodes of Law & Order.  I also have not seen Dreamgirls, but I loved this performance:

The Oscars

Here’s my recap of this year’s Academy Awards:

Best Dressed: Cate Blanchett
Worst Dressed: toss up between Ellen Degeneres and Meryl Streep
Best Skit: Jack Black, Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly
Biggest Surprise: Alan Arkin wins for best supporting actor (love it!)
Best Moment: Martin Scorsese wins best director
Classiest Celebrity: Helen Mirren
Tackiest Celebrity: too many to pick just one…

“Dwight” on SNL 02/24

Rainn_1This just in (thanks to Whitney at Pop Candy):

Rainn Wilson from "The Office" is hosting SNL on 02/24.  Set your TiVo now — this show is bound to be hilarious!

The Grammy Awards

This year’s show was really good.  I’m normally not one for music award shows — well, not since I turned thirtysomething — but here are highlights from this year’s show:

24

24 Here is my long overdue shot-out to Jack Bauer and the crew for a fantastic season of 24.  This season started out strong, and each episode leaves me wanting more Jack.  Here are some highlights:

1. I love the "Dr. Romano" twist, and have high hopes for James Cromwell as Dad Bauer.

2. I think having Wayne Palmer as the new President is smart and works very well.

3. Love how "Fish" can go from a goofy lawyer on Ally McBeal to a fantastic villain on 24.  Brilliant acting.  (And I can’t wait to see what trouble Chad Lowe causes as his lackey.)

If you don’t watch 24, you should.  It’s the highlight of my Mondays.  It’s action-packed television with a fantastic crew of actors.
