It’s Sunday night, and I am in full working-mommy-mode. I am working, doing laundry, blogging and watching the 2008 Grammy Awards. In all honesty, I have skipped the past *several* years of Grammy Awards because they were, well, not designed for a mom in her late 30s. (I’ll be honest, I didn’t care one bit about the music.) But this year… wow, I can actually create a long list of highlights:
- TOP HIGHLIGHT: Tina Turner back on stage. She is a legend and one of my all-time favorites. Who doesn’t want to hear her sing "Proud Mary" and see her fab legs? You know what, Beyonce is still hot, and I am still jealous of her. (I will try to excuse the lip-syncing in the beginning of the number.)
- Morris Day and the Time (with Rhianna) back together! How great was a little Jungle Love on a Sunday night?
- The gospel number was moving and quite awesome. Then again, Aretha can sing the entire Bible and I would listen.
- Kanye, annoying as he is, was great (and moving). I love a man who loves his Mom.
- I actually liked the Carrie Underwood performance. (Was that Stomp with her?)
- Props to John, Paul, George and Ringo.
- I love Keely Smith, and I am actually okay that she performed with Kid Rock (and Dave Koz).
More to come… you didn’t think I actually had the time to watch three straight hours of television? (The only thing I am excited to see in the last hour is Andrea Bocelli, but am ready to be surprised!)
Any highlights I missed?
Just trying to squeeze in some television between mothering, working and crashing.

It was nice meeting you last night. My husband was telling you about the Dora cake I made.
Here’s a link to my post and pictures. There’s also a link in my post to NickJr’s template.
