For 10,000 dollars those chefs should be wearing hair nets and sweat bands, those judges should pick up on that, without them its discusting, I know I would'nt even think of eating that food, because I don't like hair and sweat in my food, WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!!!

I can't watch it on TV as I'm residing in Dubai. But I would love to watch Chopped. I have been following Top Chef, Top Chef Masters, Masterchef (OZ & UK). I normally get it from Torrent. But I can't find Chopped there. Any suggestion please

I was very disturbed by the fact that the Chef who "didnt drop the ball",BUT DROPPED THE MEAT on the floor, won the $10,000.00. He may have been clever with his dishes but that incendent should have been a FAST CHOP! I love the show, but just cant get past that error in judgment. I pray I don't eat or work in the resturant where he is. Where is Chef Ramsey when you need him. That tells me the shows standards are a bit low.
Otherwise, thank you for this soap box,

Food Network and Ted Allen are staples in this house! All you need for a great dinner party - friends, wine and something to eat. I guess we're all going to think of a recipe with bacon, mustard, cheese and champagne!
Great post!

GREAT interview and post. Did you mention to Ted that you have a very good friend that ALSO has a mustard fetish? Thank you Goose Cross! Can't wait to see the show (it's DVRed). I agree with Delia that my TiVo/DVR is going into overload mode!

Champagne & Bacon...is it any wonder he has his own show? Can't wait to watch it. Love Ted! I always got the impression he'd be really cool to have a beer with. Based on this interview, I'd say that's a pretty accurate assumption!

Can't wait to see the show! I think my TIVO is going to blow up this week. Time to go out and stock up on even more bubbly for the fridge just in case Ted pops in! Better yet....to enjoy with tonights show!

Great post LTV Mom! Can't wait to see the show. Love that Ted believes no kitchen should be without bacon and cheese. Agreed! Good man ;)

I love Ted! It sounds like he is as "real" as he seems on T.V. I have seen previews for "Chopped" and wondered how it would be different from "Top Chef" and others. After reading this blog, it does sound unique and interesting. I look forward to tonight! Also, if Ted always has champagne on hand for when guests pop in, I'll be right over! :-)
