Just got back from a 10-day trip to Iowa, so I am short on time.  (You know the drill… piles of laundry, lots of work, un-spoiling the kid from too much Grandma-time.)  Here are some headlines:

• "Sopranos" filming locations draws mobs of fans (After Sunday’s episode, I cannot wait for the series finale!  What a fantastic show.  I will write more about my feelings about Dr. Melfi soon!)
• Illusionist escapes cement box in Times Square (Okay, this is not "my thing," but Criss Angel is pretty darn cool.  Yes, I saw him on Oprah.)
• Miller steps up as "Grand Slam" host (Dennis, are you kidding me?)
• Rock, Seinfeld headlining Comedy Festival (Would buy tickets if I could afford them.)
• Waterson eyeing "Law & Order" promotion (I love this guy, give him what he wants!)
• Fans lining up for Barker farewell (You know what, the guy is a legend.)

Here are some LTV-worthy headlines as we head into the weekend:

• "Idol" Reject is Trying to Screw the Show (At least she isn’t bitter.)
• ‘Sopranos’ takes top cable Nielsen’s spot (Tony and the crew are back!  First show this season was great, and I can’t wait until Sunday!)
• Cast of TV comedy "Frasier" may reunite on stage (Love this show, and would love to see the gang back together again.)
• Stern claim won’t halt Anna diaries sale (Say what you want about Anna Nicole Smith, but this is wrong.)
• Music Review: Bucky Covington (Dude, here’s a deadline I never thought I would read.)

So much laptop, so little television. Regardless, here are the headlines:

• Ailing "Law & Order faces uncertain future (Now, THIS is serious!  C’mon, I have seen EVERY episode. Let’s rally to make sure my favorite show, and my favorite leading man, stays in business!)
• Brenneman scrubs in for a "Grey’s Anatomy" Spinoff (Wow, two great shows combine.  Maybe I will tune-in after all!)
• Emmitt Smith to join ESPN as an analyst (Yes, but will he dance?  Seriously, another reason for my hubby to watch Sports Center?)
• NBC Redecorates The Office (Do whatever you want, just keep this show running!)
• New on DVD: Casino Royale (I have been waiting and waiting and waiting to see this flick.  Mommies with two-year-olds have to wait for the DVD.)

Here are my headlines of the week:

• Borat creator named one of Britan’s most powerful (Wow, didn’t see that one coming.)
• "U2-charist": Bono moves in mysterious ways (I love this headline and this modern form of worship.  Plus, U2 is my favorite band!)
• Abdul blames odd TV interview on glitch (Riiiiiiiiiight!)
• Fox Goes Nuclear over 24 Videos on YouTube (Yes, my review of this fantastic season of 24 is on the way!)
• Justin Guarini’s Idol Comback (This is a headline I never thought I would read.)
• Julie Andrews honored at SAG awards (This was the only reason to watch the SAG awards.  Yes, I cried during her tribute.  Yes, there are way too many award shows.)

Okay, I am wrapping up work and am going to watch Bill Gates on The Daily Show.  Should be interesting!

News does not slow down for the holidays:

• USA Network wins "Casino Royale" (I am so anxious to see this movie, which we know is difficult with a kid in the house.  Please, please, please tell me I will see this movie before it goes to USA!)
• Timberlake’s Grammy Idol (Yahoo! is a client, and — WOW! — this is impressive!)
• Would-Be O.J. Publisher Fired (Um, yeah.)
• "Wedding" belles for Kelley, Fox (Perfect — I will watch anything from David Kelley and anything about three sisters!)
• 64th Annual Golden Globes Nominations (24, Lost, Grey’s, Big Love, Sopranos, Betty, Housewives, Falco, Huffman, Braff, Carell, Baldwin)
• Eminem divorces wife for second time (Killer. Way to go, Slim.)
